About this workstream

Ruminant Health and Welfare is helping farmers to tackle high impact, low prevalence diseases which can have a devastating effect on farm.

Such diseases are often localised, so may not be of national importance, but they do have a significant impact where they are present.

RH&W has identified several important diseases in this area and is bringing together information and resources, and signposting them from one place for the benefit of farmers and vets. This information has been compiled with the help of experts in the field, including APHA and veterinary specialists, so should help to explain the latest science on these disorders and what can be done to prevent them. We are pleased that the first set of resources has now been published, focusing on Tick-borne Diseases, and look forward to upcoming ones including Botulism and Lead Poisoning.
