To help support those working as sheep scanners with clear information about bluetongue and other issues impacting scanning rates, the RH&W Bluetongue Working Group are compiling a list of resources for scanners to use.

With the lambing season fast approaching, we are calling on the UK sheep pregnancy scanner network to help share clear, practical information about fertility problems, and to encourage farmers to speak to their vet if scanning results are lower than expected.

The first resource available is the below podcast – recorded in December 2025

Listen via the buttons below to find out how scannners can help farmers this winter ahead of lambing via our podcast.

This episode is chaired by Dr Philippa Page, President of the Sheep Veterinary Society (SVS) with on-farm pointers and insights from APHA Small Ruminant lead Rudolf Reichel, as well as specialist sheep vet Dr Fiona Lovatt from Flock Health.

This page will be updated with resources and information specifically for sheep pregnancy scanners.
